Bored of retail and bar work? We don’t blame you. Extra’s work is perfect for those in full time education: it’s free to take part, it’s flexible and it’s much more exciting than traditional student jobs. You’re spending 70% of your time in the SU anyway – you don’t want to work there too.

As a company originally set up by students, for students, Uni-versal Extras (or UVE as we’re now more commonly known) is the perfect option for those balancing both work and education.

Since opening our virtual doors in 2005, we’ve expanded to become one of the UK & Ireland’s leading agencies for supplying Supporting Artistes for Feature Films and TV productions – but it all began with you.

Whether you are currently attending university, college or sixth from, on a full-time basis in the UK or Ireland, you’ll find that this could be the ideal job that suits a hectic student lifestyle.

Select and apply for roles based on clearly-listed filming and non-production dates (there are dates set aside for things such as fittings, rehearsals, and tests etc.), so you can immediately check your availability against course commitments, decide what works, and opt exclusively for that, Heck, you can even pick up more work our of term-time.

To register for free as a Student with us, simply upload valid proof of your student eligibility (a student card with a valid expiry date OR a headed letter from your university confirming your student status will do!), your course end date, or course start date and length.

Once you’ve filled out your profile, you can view recent job role and manage your profile all from our UVE Artiste App – you’ll even receive notification when we’ve found a role we think you’d be prefect for.

As a Student, UVE waives all listing fees. All it takes is one quick app download, 5-minute profile set-up and photo upload – then we’ll start working on finding you paid work in the Film & TV industry. Why not sign-up and see what UVE can do for you? Save your time and money for beer books. Did we mention you also get fed on set? Money? Food? Great experiences? We’ve got them all!
