We are dedicated to supporting productions across the UK during the Covid-19 pandemic to enable Extras and Supporting Artistes to return to set safely. As a casting agency, Uni-versal Extras is constantly reviewing the latest government legislation and advice, and working closely with the major UK film unions and bodies to ensure best practice.
As a part of our casting process, we speak with all of the Artistes we submit for consideration, which is one of the main reasons why we have the best turnout rates in the film and TV industries. These checks have been adapted to support safe casting in the current climate; they can also be individually tailored to your specific production’s needs. Uni-versal Extras already use multi-channel communications with our Artistes, meaning we have the infrastructure and tools in place to support additional checks and procedures in relation to Covid-19.

If an Artiste subsequently becomes ill Uni-versal Extras will trace their involvement and notify all productions they were involved with whilst potentially infectious
Continued well-being & mental health support We are dedicated to including ongoing well-being and mental health content in our newsletters during Covid-19
Feedback Surveys At a production’s discretion, we can conduct surveys to gather essential production feedback on processes, health and safety procedures and general set safety
