Firebrand
Firebrand is a historical drama film inspired by the 2013 novel Queen’s Gambit by Elizabeth Fremantle.
Set in the 16th century, the film revolves around the marriage of King Henry VIII (Jude Law) and Queen Catherine Parr (Alicia Vikander) – King Henry’s sixth and final wife.
Delving into the two’s tumultuous relationship, Firebrand depicts a significant period in British history and opened to critical acclaim, receiving an 8-minute standing ovation after its debut at The Cannes Film Festival.
