Uni-versal Extras was a background casting agency for the fifth series of the popular ITV drama, The Bay.

Filming took place across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire with specific locations including Morecambe, Northwich, West Didsbury, Oldham, Glasson Dock and Salford.

In addition to a diverse range of background roles, UVE also cast doubles for some of the main actors and actresses including Barry Sloane (who plays Chris Fischer), Daniel Ryan (D.I. Tony Manning), Hayley Standing (Dawn Anthony) and Andrew Dowbiggin (D.S. James Clarke). The agency also cast some specialist roles including hand doubles and a driving double for Ceallach Spellman who plays Bradley Dawson.
