The Swimmers
Based on the miraculous true story of the resilient Mardini sisters, The Swimmers follows Yusra and Sarah (played by Nathalie and Manal Issa) as they seek asylum from worn-torn Syria.
Upon crossing choppy Mediterranean waters and arriving in Germany, the sisters
meet Sven (played by Matthias Schweighöfer), an ambitious swim coach hellbent on preparing the two for competition in 2016’s Rio Olympic Games.
