Set in the 1980’s, Empire of Light explores human connection through the stories of Stephen [Ward], Mr. Ellis [Firth], and Hilary [Colman] – all of whom employees at the Empire Theatre in a small, English coastal town.
With stresses of work and the outside world running high, Hilary and Stephen seek solace from personal struggles in one another and an unlikely bond begins to form.
