Welcome to Uni-versal Extras

My first Uni-versal Extras assignment was on Lockerbie as a ‘family member’. I did five days on set in Bathgate Film Studios and what a brilliant experience. On my second day, the Director asked me to do a handshake with Colin Firth as he arrives inside the courthouse! I also clearly appear in the background for other courtroom scenes. In general, everything was great. Everyone from the Director, film crew, SA support staff, wardrobe and other extras were very pleasant to work alongside. The food provided was good and communication and payment from UVE was perfectly smooth.

I spent seven days filming on Wolf Hall in the presence of acting genius Sir Mark Rylance as Thomas Cromwell, and I must say that his performance left me spellbound. He never faulted a line and the tone of his voice was captivating. Director Peter Kosminsky equally weaved his craft to make everyone feel at ease and bring out the best in them. All of the production departments went into overdrive to make this show a success. With the last day of filming for me being in Cardiff, this will be remain my best job ever. Thank you Uni-versal Extras for getting me a seat on the best set ever.

I appeared in Cheaters as a Northern Soul Dj. It was my 1st TV appearance and filming. I loved the opportunity… met some great people and got the chance to work with some good actors at the top of their game.

I spent two days filming The Bay and totally enjoyed the experience. The production team and other SAs were all really professional and friendly. UVE messages were all timely and helpful and I got paid quickly too!

This is my first experience with Universal Extras, and I must say I found the team very helpful and encouraging. I’m looking forward to continue working with them and the production team. Can’t wait for our next meeting!
