Last night, the 2024 annual BAFTA TV Awards hit our screens, celebrating all the brilliant TV production to come out of 2024 – and hasn’t there been a lot!

UVE were delighted to see not 1… not 2… but 13 fantastic TV productions that we’ve had the pleasure of providing casting support for rightly nominated in categories from best original music, to production design and direction!

Not bad, eh?

Silo

Starting strong, we have dystopian sci-fi Silo – starring Rebecca Ferguson.

Silo stole the crown for two of its nominated categories, although UVE Artistes may be more familiar with it by its working title of ‘Mechanical‘ πŸ˜‰

The Great

Catherine the Great by name, Catherine the great by wardrobe.

The Great‘s Sharon Long took home the BAFTA for her brilliant work on Costume Design …of which many UVE Artistes got to experience firsthand.

Keep watch for Artistes stepping on set as Courtiers, Footmen, Sons, Beaters – even as a double for notable supporting actor: Mr Nicholas Hoult!

Good Omens

We’ve been lucky enough to be involved in both current seasons of the heavenly Amazon Prime comedy Good Omens.

Last night, however, was a special celebration of the talents of one David Tennant as loveable demon Crowley…

Hullraisers

Next, we’re headed up north! To Yorkshire, to be exact.

UVE provided lots of background faces for Hullraisers – a Channel 4 comedy coming to us directly from the hilarious minds behind TrolliedΒ (Anne-Marie O’Connor),Β Raised By WolvesΒ (Caroline Moran) andΒ Meet The RichardsonsΒ (Lucy Beaumont).

Extraordinary

UVE took part in the stellar second season of supernatural comedy, Extraordinary.

When watching, make sure to pay special attention to the background artistes cropping up as Halloween Party Guests, Witches, Book Launch Attendees & more!

The Lazarus Project

You can also catch UVE faces in series 2 of The Lazarus Project.

Filming for this time-jumping thriller series took part in Wales with shooting locations including Cardiff and Newport!

Nolly

Featuring the talents of our Artistes as: Award Guests, TV Technicians, Camera Crew, Port Officials, Photographers & more.

Nolly took place in locations all across the North West, calling on Extras based in areas such as Liverpool, Manchester, Bolton and St Helens!

The Long Shadow

Celebrated for its harrowing reenaction of the real-life murders of Peter Sutfliffe (a.k.a The Yorkshire Ripper), The Long Shadow appeared in a whopping 4 categories this year.

Our Artistes, however, may well remember it as the production ‘Untitled NPX’ πŸ˜‰

Loki

Marvel hero series Loki – or “Architect” to UVE faces – also popped up at last night’s award ceremony.

UVE were thrilled to provide casting support for the Loki series right here at own home location of Pinewood Studios!

Dublin Narcos

Sky Original docu-series, Dublin Narcos, takes a deep dive into organised crime and drug distribution throughout the 80s and 90s.

Three Little Birds

Lenny Henry’s very own brilliant historical drama.

Three Little Birds saw us searching for faces in areas all over the UK, including: Coventry, West Bromwich, Liverpool, Leamington Spa, Birmingham, Holywell, Dudley and Essex!

The Reckoning

Controversial BBC mini series – The Reckoning – also received a nod at last night’s awards for Steve Coogan’s eerily powerful performance as TV personality Jimmy Savile.

Dr Who

Finally, who could fail to mention the show that stole the title for most ‘Memorable Moment‘.

UVE were delighted to take part in the most recent series of Dr Who, starring fantastic 15th Doctor: Ncuti Gatwa!
