When working as an Extra, the Inland Revenue view your tax status as self-employed and you are therefore responsible for paying your own Income Tax. Payments will be made to you gross of Tax and Class 1 National Insurance contributions, and you must declare these earnings as part of your normal self-employed self-assessment return.
